How We Built This Project

When a fast-growing congregation in Greenwood, Missouri was in immediate need of a place to worship, we built them a brand-new 9,800 square-foot worship room without ever hitting pause on Sunday mornings. Services kept running and families kept showing up the entire time, which takes serious coordination and a little bit of choreography. We started with a steel frame and metal stud infill, topped it with a TPO roof (overbuilt right onto the existing roofs), with polished concrete floors, and tied it seamlessly into the existing lobby.

A raised platform anchors the room, backed by a massive 30-foot LED screen and warm, backlit LED crosses. Balancing acoustical absorption with reflective surfaces for crisp, intelligible voice and music, running everything through an AVL sound booth, and even tuning the rooftop RTUs with an acute awareness of sound transmission so the HVAC never competes with what’s happening on stage. Beyond the four walls, we reworked the parking lot, added a playground with artificial turf and security fencing, built new restrooms, and integrated a full security system with the existing building. And through all of it, we held strict budget and schedule control from day one, delivering the project on time and under budget.

Marking our third project with Fellowship Church, this worship room is an interim facility, purpose-built to keep pace with growth and comfortably seat around 600 per service. Ready for their future growth, we’re already master planning the next phases, a permanent sanctuary that will seat over 1,000. When that future sanctuary is ready, this very room converts into the new children’s worship space. Nothing wasted, everything with a future.

“Pearce is more than a contractor. They are a partner. We have trusted Pearce with multiple projects, from remodels to a new children’s building, to most recently, our multi-million dollar sanctuary. Every time, they have delivered. From the first design conversation to the final walk-through, their team brings experience, foresight, professionalism, and solutions. I would not undertake another major construction or renovation project without Team Pearce at the table.”
