How We Built This Project

Construction of an addition to and renovation of the high-volume Jack Stack Barbecue restaurant needed to be completed while the restaurant remained in operation. The scope included a new commercial kitchen, expanded dining, a new bar area, an outdoor patio, an entry canopy, and new carry-out food service operations, along with extensive site work.

The phased construction approach required careful sequencing. The new commercial kitchen was built first, while the existing kitchen remained in service. Once the new kitchen was complete, equipment and operations were transferred before the old kitchen, and portions of the existing dining room were demolished to make way for the expanded facilities. Existing artifacts, finishes, and the character of the original restaurant were preserved and integrated with updated roofing, HVAC, electrical, and fire protection systems. New booth walls, flooring, ceiling systems, and upgraded water and sewer infrastructure were also installed. New footings and lighting were constructed for the signature Jack Stack bull statue at the front entry.

“Pearce has always treated us as partners and takes painstaking efforts to make sure their interests are aligned with ours.”
