An interior and exterior renovation revitalized an existing church facility, modernizing its functionality and aesthetic. Our process allowed the congregation to continue uninterrupted use of the building throughout construction.
On the exterior, existing entry stairs, ramps, parking, and landscaping were demolished and rebuilt. Window systems, gutters, sheet metal, roofing, and HVAC equipment were all replaced, and more energy-efficient heating and cooling systems were installed. A new accessible ramp and stair configuration at the main entry are coupled with new sidewalks, exterior lighting, and landscaping to improve accessibility and arrival experience.
Inside, the lobby was expanded to create a more generous gathering space for fellowship before and after services. Existing glue-laminated structural members and tongue-and-groove ceilings were exposed, restored, and refinished to preserve the building’s architectural character while refreshing its appearance. New office space and a modernized children’s room were constructed, and natural lighting was increased throughout. A new sprinkler system was installed across all renovation spaces.
The project demonstrates how a carefully managed renovation can deliver a fully transformed environment without displacing the community it serves.
